People Partner – DACH (Fluent in German & English)
At myPOS, we’re all about helping businesses grow and get paid. We make payments simple, smart, and accessible for everyone, but we’re more than just payment solutions—myPOS is a partner in growth. From free multicurrency accounts to powerful e-commerce tools, we’re here to support business owners of all sizes and everyone out there who dreams of starting their own business.
We have a newly created role for a People Partner, reporting to the Head of People Partners to help us make a real difference and support growth through European expansion and M&A activity.
About the role:
This People Partner will have a pivotal role in the setup of our German entity – enabling the future growth and success of myPOS in this high-profile region. As the dedicated HR contact for our German operations, you will be on the ground managing day-to-day HR activities, while also driving strategic people initiatives to bring multiple teams together under one culture, set of processes, and operating model.
Working as part of our wider global BP team, you will guide leaders and employees through the transition, delivering a smooth integration that balances business objectives with employee engagement and retention. Your expertise in German labour law will be essential in navigating the complexities of the local employment landscape and ensuring positive employee relations throughout the change process and beyond.
In summary, you will be empowered to step up and take ownership of a broad remit from day one - with plenty of scope for further development and growth as our German footprint expands.
What you’ll do:
- Partner closely with managers on day-to-day people matters, including performance, disciplinary, and grievance issues, ensuring full compliance with German labour law.
- Provide hands-on HR support across the entire employee lifecycle – onboarding, contract management, payroll coordination, benefits administration, and offboarding.
- Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders, supporting workforce planning, organisational design, and engagement initiatives.
- Serve as the local HR lead for Germany, representing myPOS on all HR-related matters while collaborating with our global People Partnering and HR Operations teams.
- Support and advise on Works Council topics – from setup and process administration to consultation and compliance management.
- Drive key people and culture projects, including M&A integration, leadership enablement, and onboarding initiatives.
- Partner with external vendors and authorities to ensure seamless payroll, benefits, and social security compliance.
- Analyse HR metrics related to turnover, engagement, and compensation, using data to recommend improvements and support business goals.
- Promote and embed the myPOS culture through values-driven engagement, training, and communication initiatives.
What you bring:
- 5+ years of HR experience in Germany, ideally within tech, fintech, or scale-up environments.
- Native or fluent German (C1+) and fluent English are essential.
- Proven track record managing employee relations, including disciplinary and grievance cases under German labour law.
- Strong knowledge of German employment law, payroll, benefits, and social security regulations.
- Practical understanding of Works Council (Betriebsrat) structures – how to set them up, administer, and avoid common pitfalls.
- Hands-on, non-bureaucratic mindset – comfortable working in dynamic, fast-changing environments and building processes from scratch.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build trust across all levels of the organisation.
- Experience partnering with senior leaders on headcount planning, organisational development, and engagement.
- Proficiency with HR systems (e.g. Personio, Workday, or similar) and strong reporting/analytical capabilities.
Why you should join myPOS:
- Vibrant international team operating in hi-tech environment
- Annual salary reviews, promotions and performance bonuses
- myPOS Academy for upskilling and training
