From free multicurrency accounts to powerful e-commerce tools, we’re here to support business owners of all sizes and everyone out there who dreams of starting their own business.
We have a newly created role for a People Partner, reporting to the Head of People Partners to help us make a real difference and support growth through European expansion and M&A activity.
About the role:
This People Partner will have a pivotal role in the setup of our German entity – enabling the future growth and success of myPOS in this high-profile region. As the dedicated HR contact for our German operations, you will be on the ground managing day-to-day HR activities, while also driving strategic people initiatives to bring multiple teams together under one culture, set of processes, and operating model.
Working as part of our wider global BP team, you will guide leaders and employees through the transition, delivering a smooth integration that balances business objectives with employee engagement and retention. Your expertise in German labour law will be essential in navigating the complexities of the local employment landscape and ensuring positive employee relations throughout the change process and beyond.
In summary, you will be empowered to step up and take ownership of a broad remit from day one - with plenty of scope for further development and growth as our German footprint expands.

- Collaborate with HR Operations and Payroll teams, external vendors, and government agencies to deliver a seamless HR administration experience.
- Assist with the recruitment needs of the local business, supporting managers as needed and advising on market norms.
- Advise on and manage employee relations cases, including performance management, grievances, and terminations, ensuring adherence to local labour law.
- Act as a key liaison with the Works Council (when required), facilitating consultations and co-determination processes to deliver positive business and employee outcomes.
- Monitor changes in employment legislation and Social Security regulations, implementing policy and process enhancements where needed, in partnership with HR Operations and Payroll.
- Partner closely with local leadership to align HR initiatives with business objectives and workforce planning needs.
- Support organisational development initiatives, talent management, and succession planning adapted to local market needs and commercial opportunities.
- Promote and help embed company values and employee engagement programmes.
- Lead or support HR projects such as engagement surveys, leadership development, and policy rollouts.
- Analyse HR metrics related to retention, turnover, and employee satisfaction to recommend improvements.
- Support other key projects, such as office moves and/or events, when required.
What you bring:
- 5+ years of experience in HR within Germany, preferably as an HR Business Partner, Senior HR Generalist or Senior People Ops Manager.
- In-depth knowledge of German benefits and payroll administration.
- Previous experience administering key HR systems (HRIS, ATS, LMS, etc).
- Expertise in local labour law, Works Council collaboration, and Social Security obligations.
- Proven capability in managing complex employee relations and ensuring legal compliance.
- Excellent communication skills in both German and English, with the ability to engage effectively across all organisational levels.
- High interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and build trust with diverse stakeholders.
