About the role:
As a Payroll & Admin Expert, you will take ownership of the end-to-end monthly payroll processing and employee administration for Bulgaria, playing a key role in ensuring our employees are supported with timely, compliant, and efficient HR services. Your work will directly impact the employee experience, ensuring accurate pay, seamless documentation, and proper handling of benefits.
In addition to your focus on Bulgaria, you will collaborate with international teams and external vendors to support payroll and HR operations across other myPOS locations. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys both structure and agility—working in a fast-paced, multicultural fintech environment where attention to detail and process improvement are highly valued.
What you’ll do:
- Execute the full monthly payroll process for Bulgaria, ensuring accurate calculation of salaries, statutory deductions, and timely payments in line with local legislation and internal deadlines.
- Handle all aspects of employee administration for Bulgaria, including contract management, employment changes, benefits enrollment, and HRIS updates, maintaining compliance and data accuracy.
- Collaborate closely with payroll providers to facilitate accurate and timely payroll processing across other myPOS locations; act as a liaison between internal teams and external vendors.
- Ensure compliance with local labor laws, tax regulations, and employment-related legislation, flagging risks and proposing solutions.
- Administer and maintain employee benefits programs (e.g., health insurance, meal vouchers, etc.) across different geographies.
- Keep HRIS and payroll systems up-to-date, ensuring confidentiality, integrity, and alignment with internal procedures.
- Respond promptly to employee inquiries regarding benefits, employment documentation, and HR-related policies.
- Prepare reports and support audits by providing accurate administrative data and compliance documentation.
- Coordinate with HR, Finance, and Legal teams to align administrative processes with organizational policies and country-specific requirements.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of administrative workflows and documentation standards.
- Stay informed about relevant legal and regulatory changes, and communicate their impact to stakeholders.
This role is perfect for you if you have:
- Proven experience in executing end-to-end payroll processing, preferably in Bulgaria, with a solid understanding of local labor and tax regulations.
- Hands-on experience in HR administration, including managing employment contracts, benefits, HRIS updates, and employee records.
- Familiarity with working alongside payroll providers and external vendors; experience supporting payroll in other European countries is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of HR compliance requirements and employment legislation in Bulgaria; additional knowledge of European labor practices is an advantage.
- High level of integrity and discretion when working with confidential data and sensitive employee information.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative mindset and a service-oriented attitude.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken); knowledge of Bulgarian is essential, and another European language is a plus.
- A degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
- A proactive and solution-focused approach, comfortable navigating change and driving continuous improvement.
