About the role:
As an IT Program Manager, you will be responsible for managing programs and multiple projects at both global and local levels. The project portfolio will include data-centric initiatives and software development lifecycle (SDLC) projects. You will actively lead and direct cross-functional teams, ensuring that all deliverables, objectives, milestones, and quality standards are achieved on time and within budget. This role requires strong leadership and coordination across various teams to drive successful project outcomes and align them with the organization's strategic goals.
What you will do:
- Manage the Technology Modernisation Value Creation Plan (VCP) transformation program end to end, ensuring on time, on budget, on scope delivery.
- Manage project status reporting, conveying scope, milestones, budgets, risks, and issues to the team and stakeholders.
- Chair the Weekly and Monthly Steering Committees
- Prepare all documentation relating to Board and SteerCo reporting including management of KPIs and Budget as related to the VCP.
- Create and maintain detailed project plans, ensuring adherence to project management methodologies to any other projects that require PM resources
- Support the management and prioritization of the Development and IT Infrastructure project portfolio, working closely with business and IT stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, incorporating updates from functional teams.
- Oversee resource management, ensuring proper staff assignments and availability for projects.
- Conduct risk management by identifying, mitigating, and documenting risks, keeping stakeholders informed.
- Support stakeholder management by aligning project expectations with approved requirements.
- Facilitate project business analysis, integrating technical and functional changes into schedules and work assignments.
- Manage vendor relationships and perform other support duties as needed to ensure project success.
- Collaborate with the Head of the CTO Office and CTO to iterate on established project management methodologies to ensure a best-in-class PMO governance and continuous improvement.
This role is perfect for you if you have:
- 5-6 years of experience managing cross-functional projects of medium to high complexity.
- Proven experience in IT service, infrastructure, and process redesign, particularly within 24x7 production environments.
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment, high standard delivery and ability to manage competing deadlines/priorities
- Strong exposure to IT infrastructure/datacenter technologies, including servers, SAN storage, networking equipment, and related hardware.
- Expertise in project management methodologies, resource management practices, and change management techniques.
- Ability to estimate project efforts from functional/technical requirements for effective planning and scheduling.
- Functional understanding of datacenter components and the integration of servers, storage, and networking technologies.
- Strong communication skills to bridge the gap between technical teams and business users.
- Knowledge of risk management and its integration into technology projects, including security, backup, and redundancy.
- Competency in project scheduling and progress tracking using automated tools, with a focus on trade-off analysis.
- Project Management certification (CAPM, PMP) or experience working within a PMO structure, ideally in the Payments, Banking, or Fintech sectors. A personal style that demonstrates authority, commitment and consistency, and inspires trust and confidence
- Fluent in English
