As we continue shaping the future of payments, we are looking for an experienced Database Administrator to join our growing team.
As a Database Administrator you will manage, maintain, and optimize database systems to ensure reliability, security, and performance. You will collaborate with teams to design solutions, troubleshoot issues, and implement best practices for data management.
What you’ll do:
- Design and strategize database implementations to align with organizational needs and objectives.
- Set up and configure database environments to ensure optimal performance and functionality.
- Perform routine maintenance to ensure database reliability, availability, and scalability.
- Implement security measures to protect databases against unauthorized access and vulnerabilities.
- Conduct performance tuning activities, including query optimization, index optimization, database reorganization, and execution plan analysis.
- Diagnose and resolve database-related problems to minimize downtime and disruptions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and development teams to design efficient and scalable database solutions.
- Develop comprehensive documentation for database configurations, processes, and best practices.
What you bring:
- A minimum of 4 years of professional experience as a Database Administrator.
- Proficiency in Microsoft SQL (including DB Engine, SSIS, SSRS, Always On), PostgreSQL and/or experience with other database systems such as MySQL, MongoDB, Elasticsearch.
- Familiarity with project management and tracking tools like JIRA.
- High-level proficiency in the English language, both written and verbal
- Possess a professional demeanor characterized by authority, dedication, and reliability, fostering trust and confidence in colleagues and stakeholders.
- Expertise in scripting languages such as Shell, Bash, Perl, PowerShell, or similar will be considered an advantage
