About the Role:
As a Finance Business Partner, you will play a key role in bridging the gap between Finance and the business units. You will work closely with the the business units to align financial strategies with the business units objectives and priorities, ensuring that every initiative is backed by sound financial analysis. Your expertise will help optimize budget allocations, evaluate roadmap ROI, and support data-driven decision-making.
What you’ll do:
Forecasting and Budgeting:
- Lead the development, analysis, and communication of forecasts and budgets for the business units, working closely with the stakeholders to align financial goals with business objectives;
- Provide insights and recommendations based on the analysis of actual results versus forecasts and budgets to drive informed decision-making and strategic planning.
Management Reporting:
- Prepare and deliver high-quality management reports covering key technology projects and product launches, providing timely and relevant analysis to support the business units.
- Analyze project budgets, track technology deployment metrics (milestones, deliverables, compliance), measure ROI of tech investments, and report on performance indicators (uptime, quality, user engagement).
- Enhance reporting processes for the business units to focus on critical financial issues and facilitate discussions on departmental performance.
Business Performance Analysis:
- Define, monitor, and analyze data and KPIs related to specific technology initiatives and product development cycles, offering actionable insights to improve these metrics in alignment with strategic goals.
- Work closely with the business unit teams to interpret financial data and provide actionable recommendations for cost reduction, profitability enhancement, and resource optimization.
- Develop detailed financial models to evaluate the performance of the business units, analyzing different operational scenarios to assess financial impacts and risks.
Strategic Financial Support:
- Serve as a trusted advisor by providing financial insight on strategic tech initiatives and product roadmaps, ensuring they align with broader business objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed financial strategies into business decisions, enhancing the integration of financial data in tech and product planning.
Ad-hoc Support and Analysis:
- Offer ad-hoc financial support to the departments, providing insights into financial performance and advising on strategic decisions.
- Perform competitive financial analysis within the tech industry, identifying trends and benchmarks to position the company competitively in the market.
Collaboration and Teamwork:
- Work closely with all members of the Finance team (including analysts, treasury, controlling and accounting) to ensure timely and reliable financial analysis;
- Foster strong relationships with business leaders, acting as a liaison between Finance and business units to drive business performance and achieve financial objectives.
This role is perfect for you if you have:
- Fluent English;
- Strong financial modeling skills, with the ability to build, analyze, and interpret complex financial data to drive business performance;
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field. Professional certifications such as CFA, ACCA, or CIMA (either obtained or in progress) will be considered a strong advantage;
- Minimum of 4+ years of relevant experience, preferably in a finance business partnering, financial analysis, or strategic finance role;
- Demonstrated ability to translate financial data into actionable business insights that improve performance, cost efficiency, and profitability;
- Solid understanding of financial reporting processes, including planning, forecasting, and performance analysis, with the ability to present key findings to senior management;
- Experience with analyzing client acquisition metrics, data and KPIs;
- Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills. Able to communicate complex
financial concepts in a clear and concise manner to non-finance stakeholders; - A strong team player who thrives in cross-functional environments, able to build relationships and influence decision-making across business units;
- High proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint and other financial modeling tools is expected;
- A proactive and organized individual who is thorough in their analysis, constantly seeks improvement, and is innovative in their approach to financial challenges;
- Eagerness to continuously develop and expand skills, with a passion for driving business success through strategic financial support.
